Savage Space 1889Savage Space 1889

Pinnacle Entertainment Group and Frank Chadwick are proud to announce Space 1889: Red Sands!* Using the award-winning Savage Worlds system, Pinnacle will release a single Savage Worlds Plot Point Campaign (TM), entitled Space 1889: Red Sands.

Red Sands pits a desperate band of heroes against the Inner Circle of the Brotherhood of Luxor. The Brotherhood, led by the mysterious Kronos, King of the Titans, plots to bring about the end of all worlds. From the mountains of Mars to the swamps of Venus, our intrepid explorers must stop the Brotherhood from plunging the entire solar system into a bloody war to end all wars!

Shane Hensley of Pinnacle said "Space 1889 is one of my all-time favorite settings. Being able to play in Frank's amazing world is a real treat for all of us."

Space 1889: Red Sands will be a full-color hardback release. Page count and price is not yet determined. It is expected to release in September of '09.

The Savage Worlds core rules are required.

Cover by Christophe Swal, Interior art by Richard Clark, written by William Reger, and developed by Tony Lee.

Art Sampler

The art on the left is only half the cover! The amazing Christophe Swal is putting the final touches on the rest and we'll reveal it to you as soon as it's done.

We'll also post some of the interior art by the phenomenal Richard Clark over the next few months.

Following the Clues

Special thanks to all those who have followed our clues. As you guessed, Shane's initial hint was the "...1,899 pages of red tape..." found in the PEG2009 update here.

The second was a post on the forums (here) where Shane said the product was already written and wouldn't "...fade into the ether..." (The "aether" is the space between planets in Space 1889.)

The next clues were dropped by Clint Black, who said "...lift would..." on "The Game's the Thing" podcast # 51: Savage Supers Showcase. (Lift wood is an important part of Space 1899.)

We know we drive you nuts with this stuff sometimes, but it's a lot of fun for us and we greatly appreciate all those who play along!
