Is there an ETA on this? I like the Flood but I'm more interested in something more traditionally Western. Last Sons sounds like it might fit my wishes since I'm guessing it'll probably be in the disputed territories.
I'd also like to ask, can we get some teasers about what we can expect from Last Sons? |

I'll leave further details to Cutter. |

Oh, you make me laugh so much, Mr. Kinstle. Spot on.
Riggswolfe, we're currently hitting high gear on The Last Sons. You can expect some more detailed information in the next month or so, but until then...
War's realm: the High Plains and Disputed Territories. Raven's plots. Custer's revenge. Rail War Two. Tons of gadgets and gear for Agents and Rangers. And the Hunting Grounds get reloaded in a big way.
Hang onto them reins for dear life, amigo... _________________ Matthew Cutter

I mainly have two questions about Lost Sons, before I get my Posse in The Flood/South o the Border..
Is it also to be started (ideally) with novice Characters ? And more important, is it to be played later on the Timeline ?
My players are learning about Deadlands as I get them playing and I love to preserve that feeling of discovery. Which means I like to try to unfold secrets only from time to time. Running back and forth in the official timeline would spoil that.
Thanks for your hard work and commitment...

Yep. All four Deadlands Plot Point books will assume Novice characters to begin.

Affirmative. The Flood takes place in 1879-1880, The Last Sons occurs from 1880-1881. The last two Plot Point books will cover 1881-1882 and 1882-1883, respectively.

Hang onto them reins for dear life, amigo... | That is a lot more goodies than I was hoping for, I was expecting a reload of the hunting grounds but I had given up hope of gadgets and gear. |

Never give up hope.
Remember, there's still two more PPC books for Deadlands after Last Sons, and we won't be stopping there, either! _________________ Joel Kinstle

I don't mean to gripe, but it's been more than a month and I still haven't seen anything about it on the front page. Did I miss it, or has Last Sons been experiencing delays?
On a related note, I'm really enjoying running The Flood. Keep up the great work! |

For all practical purposes, mid-June through mid-August do not exist in the gaming industry. They're all rolled into one really long "Con Madness" day that lasts for 1300 hours or so.
Just so you can gear your expectations a little better, once a given book is "done" and sent off to be printed, it could still be up to four months before it's in stores. Sad, but oh so true. _________________ Joel Kinstle

| Fair enough, but I'm not asking for the whole book just "some more detailed information." For instance, when is it going to released? I heard rumors that it'd be sometime in August, but that was awhile back and I don't remember if that was the pinnacle staff talking or just some guy who heard it from a friend. |

Sorry, whats-his-name, but when it will be released is specifically what I'm not going to say until it's pretty much in-hand. I'll confirm when it won't be released, though. There's pretty much no way it will hit the streets in the next five months. I hope that helps.
For more information as to what's in Last Sons, I'll defer to Cutter, our Deadlands Brand Manager. _________________ Joel Kinstle

Thank you for taking the time to answer that. It's good to have a general idea of when LS will be out. |
